DISPLAY SET - UP

• Anticipate the needs for your display
• -do you need a table, chairs, computer, bristle
  board?
• -how will you hang or display your information?
• -do you need an extension cord?
• -do you need a DVD/VCR machine, lap top, CD/ tape
  recorder
• MAKE IT INTERACTIVE ENGAGING!!

1. DISPLAY

• Your display board must be clearly labelled with
  a title including
• -your name
• -your title at your co- op placement
• -the full name of your placement
• Your display must include the following
• -job description - detailed
• -skills/tasks learned
• -photographs yourself, the work site
• (plus captions on the pictures)
• -literature eg. letterhead, business cards,
  advertising material
• -product samples eg. items from the workplace

2. BROCHURE

• The brochures will be prepared by
• Wednesday, December 2nd
• If you can print your brochures at your workplace
  or at home with coloured ink and paper, they
  would look better. You should print about 20
  copies of your brochure. Bring your disk to
  school on May 27th in case you need more copies
  because your display is so popular!

3. EMPLOYER INVITATION

• Be sure to invite your supervisor. Refreshments
  will be served starting at 830 am
• Give them lots of advance notice so they can
  book time in their agenda to attend.

4. SET UP AND TAKE DOWN

• Set up time Wednesday, December 16th 2009
  
• at 800 a.m. in the front foyer.
• Your display will be visited by students,
  parents, teachers and employers.
• Set up 800 sharp!
• Co-op Career Fair runs from 900 am to 1200
  pm
• Take down 1200 to 1220
• Dismissal at 1230 or when everything is
  cleaned up )
• Make sure to give your employer their
  'Certificate of Appreciation' or take it with you
  to give at work (if they were unable to attend)
