Introduction

• China is a wonderful place to go to for a trip or
  vacation. It has many attractions like the Great
  Wall of China, Mt. Everest (the tallest mountain
  in the world, which is close by), and many more.
  Other attractions you can find anywhere in China
  are food and shopping. In the next few pages
  there will be more information about China.

Location

• China is located in the south-east of Asia. Its
  the third largest country in the world after
  Russia and Canada. China has different climates
  because of its location. There will be more
  information about the climate on the next page.

Climate

• The climate in China could be very hot
  temperatures to very cold temperatures. It has
  different types of precipitation like rain, hail,
  and fog. Once China even had a climate of dust.
  China has a high pollution caused by the number
  of people (the population). China has the
  largest population in the world. There will be
  more information about the population in the next
  page.

Population

• The population in China is 1.29533 billion or
  almost ¼ of the worlds total population in the
  year of 2000. The capital city is Beijing with a
  population of 6,560,000 in the year of 1993. In
  total China is a densely populated country.

Traditions

• There are many different traditions. A
  tradition that China celebrates is Chinese New
  Year. Chinese New Year is when China celebrates
  its New Year. Many festivals are on the streets.
  There are usually lots of fireworks in the sky
  for occasions like Chinese New Years.

Tourism

• The tourism in China is great because of
  Chinas wonderful attractions! It even has one
  of the seven wonders of the world. The Great
  Wall of China. It extends 5,000 kilometres.

Sports

• There are many sports that are played in
  China. One of the Chinas best-played is
  Table-Tennis. Another name for Table-Tennis is
  Ping-Pong because the ball makes that kind of
  sound.
• The 2008 Olympics Games are going to be held
  at China.

Symbols

• The Chinese Zodiac It is believed that people
  act like these animals depending on what year the
  person was born.

Topography

• The topography of China is very interesting.
  It has many mountains and is near the largest
  mountain in the world, Mt. Everest. There are
  also flat lands even though it has mountains,
  valleys, hills, etc. Some of the land is good for
  planting rice. Rice is one of Chinas main
  foods. China has lots of islands because its by
  water bodies too.
