- Over the past year, the Pekin Area Chamber of
Commerce has used these tools as part of our
marketing campaign to promote the City of Pekin
to potential new residents.

- This advertising campaign has made thousands of
impressions in Central Illinois influencing
local and regional residents and opinion leaders.
Pekin is becoming known as a community on the
move.
6Champions for Pekin
- Committee members are reaching out making
presentations to influential regional groups that
are important to our success - Realtors
- clubs and organizations
- local businesses, etc.
7Peoria Area Home Shows
- Impressive display motivated show attendees to
ask for more information about Pekin. Many booth
visitors were actively seeking a new home or lot.

subdivisions including availability and pricing
of homes and lots

- As the advertising campaign evolves, there is a
need to make the primary theme more visible to
area residents and visitors. There is also a
need to generate funds to support the campaign. - The Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce will use
street banners carrying the Pekin, What a
Pleasant Surprise theme to fulfill those needs.

12Pekins Banner Advertising Program
- Each street banner will be 2 feet by 6 feet in
size. - Two thirds of the banner will contain the Pekin,
What a Pleasant Surprise logo. - The bottom third of the banner will contain the
sponsors logo. - All logos will appear in white on a red
background. - The 2-sided durable and attractive banners will
be available for sponsorship on a yearly or
multiple year basis. - All this for a fraction of the cost
- of regular billboard advertising!
13All proceeds from this banner program will be
invested into the Chambers marketing budget to
continue to fund the Pekin, What a Pleasant
Surprise marketing campaign.
