  • INGREDIENTS

  • Quarter and core an apple

  • 2. Dip banana slices in softened cream

encourage a nutritious lifestyle?

SPARK Sports and Active Recreation for Kids
Encourage physical activity Make physical
activity a positive and social experience for
kids, not intimidating or scary. Encourage group
games where everyone plays together! At this age,
exercise should be playtime. Even if you cant
serve nutritious foods, you can talk about them!
Encourage conversations about kids favorite
fruits, vegetables, nutritious snacks.

  • Many Games in the Training Guide for Group
    Leaders integrate physical activity and
    nutrition education.
  • Play Memory Ball but have kids choose their
    favorite fruit. Players must name their fruit and
    the fruit of the person they are passing their
    bal to. Group Leaders can name fruits that kids
    may be unfamiliar with.
  • 5 Servings Tag A pair links arms and tags other
    people and links arms with them. When 5 people
    have linked arms to be free they have to name 5
    different fruits or vegetables.
