Quality, innovation and social commitment.

It was founded in 1998. Promotes
quality, innovation and social commitment within
the management of the higher education
institutions with the aim of fostering
excellence. Represents UPC in national and
international conferences, seminars and workshops
dealing with higher education management. Its
activities include coaching and training,
research, organization of conferences,
publications and international cooperation.
International cooperation within the UNESCO
CHAIR It organises and participates in meetings
of various national and institutional
networks. It hosts the secretariat of the Global
University Network for Innovation (GUNI), founded
by the Technical University of Catalonia, the
UNESCO and the United Nations University. This
Network has representation all over the world.

Quality, innovation and social commitment.
Global University Network for Innovation
(GUNI) An international net founded in 1999 by
UNESCO, United Nations University and UPC. to
contribute to the reinforcement of higher
education in the world, by the application of the
decisions of the World Conference on Higher
Education in Paris, 1999. It publishes an annual
report about the current state of higher
education around the world and several
newsletters about high education
management. Five Regional Networks have been
created Africa, Latin America and the
Caribbean, Asia and the Pacific, Arab States,
Europe and North America.

The international structure of the UPC is
decentralized. Each university unit

Materials Science and Engineering (AMASE)
Based on the existing European Engineering Study
Program (EEIGM) and supported by the Federation

Technology for Education and Research
CLUSTER is a network of leading European
Universities of Technology their fundamental
missions are advanced research and higher
education of engineers, scientists and
architects. Their common goal within CLUSTER is
the quest towards excellence in the fulfillment
of these missions. A major result of
cooperation within CLUSTER is a set of common
policy statements, in particular the convention
on mutual recognition of titles stating that
students from other CLUSTER institutions will be
admitted like local students to master and PhD
programs.

CESAER CESAER - the Conference of European
Schools for Advanced Engineering Education and
Research - is a non-profit-making international

Schools. The main objectives of CESAER are to

in Research as well as in Postgraduate and
Continuing Education.

T.I.M.E. It is formed by 33 top level European
Institutions of higher education training
engineers Students graduate in engineering in
two different countries.The general principle
is that of extending the curriculum by
substituting two years in the host Institution
for one year at the home Institution.Companies
are very interested in this new kind of engineer
- so much so, indeed, that sponsors' clubs have
grown up at some partner Universities, and many
activities have been promoted for and by these
clubs.
