Math learning center
  • Historically, students in grades 6 8 are at a
    variety of levels in math.
  • Instead of having a math class targeted to a
specific subject, this summer we created the Math
    Learning Center.
  • Targeted for middle school students as a way to
meet individual needs and improve math skills
  • At the beginning of the summer program, students
were assessed and then instruction was targeted
    at specific needs.
  • Computer programs, math manipulatives, and
large- and small-group instruction were used to
help meet the needs of these middle school
    students.
