Introduction

• The purpose of the Child Care Lab is to provide a
  valuable hands-on learning experience for high
  school students enrolled in Child Development II.
• Our students will develop lessons to share with
  the pre-school aged participants.
• Our students will learn techniques useful in
  guiding and teaching young children.

The children in the learning lab will

• Learn to give and share.
• Learn to get along with others.
• Develop self-control.
• Practice large and small motor skills.
• Develop skills in thinking, reasoning, problem
  solving, and creating.
• Develop a positive self-concept.

Learning Lab Times

• The learning lab will run from March 6 June 7.
• Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday only.
• 1130 AM 200 PM

Requirements

• Open to Montville residents.
• Children must be between the ages of 34. Birth
  certificate required.
• All children must be day-time toilet trained.
• Children are expected to be in attendance at the
  Learning Lab every day it meets, except for
  illness.
• Transportation is the responsibility of the
  parent.

Selection

• Please email your desire to have your pre-school
  child be considered for one of the ten spots in
  the class. Email to lkusma_at_montville.net
• Closing date for all email applications will be
  Feb. 6, 2007.
• A lottery will be held of all the registrants for
  the 10 spots on Feb. 14th.
• 10 alternate children will also be chosen.

Registration

• There will be a meeting of the parents, children,
  and the teacher set up in February.
• A one time non-refundable registration fee of 60
  is to be paid at that time. This will cover
  snacks and craft supplies.
• All appropriate paperwork such as registration
  form, birth certificate, and health records will
  be handled at that meeting.
