Responsibility

• Be prepared for class. All supplies need to be in
  the room when class begins.
• Homework must be in on time (more about this
  later).

Respect

• Everyone must treat each other with respect.
• Treat Mrs. T. and other teachers with respect.
• Be respectful of property in the room.

Participation

• Whether it is an independent project, a homework
  assignment, group work, or class discussion, all
  students will participate in each activity.

Behavior

• 1st infraction verbal warning
• 2nd infraction removed from situation and write
  up for a noon detention
• 3rd infraction removed from classroom

Seating

• For right now you may sit where you want but
  eventually I will assign seats.
• Please fold the index card the hot dog way and
  put your first name on it in marker.

Grades

• Grades are based on class participation,
  projects, homework, and a few tests (not very
  often!)?

• NO HOMEWORK 0
• NO LATE WORK

Supplies

• You received a supply list at the end of last
  year.
• Supplies are due September 3.
• (If buying supplies are a problem, see me
  privately and we will work it out)?

• Binder - 1.5 is great
• Dividers for binder- 5 will do
• Composition book - this is the black and white
  notebooks w/o spiral ( I will have some to buy
  for 50 cents)?
• Pen (black or blue and a colorful one)?
• Pencils
• A book to read (may be checked out of library or
  classroom)?

What Do We Do?

• I use the benchmarks and indicators that are set
  by the state of Ohio so that you are prepared for
  the Achievement Test. We do these through a
  number of units during the year.

Who is Mrs. Timothy?(professional information)?

• This is my 9th year at JRL but my 19th year of
  teaching. I have taught every grade from
  kindergarten to 7th but 7th is my favorite.
• I went to college at the University of Dayton and
  received my Masters degree from Ashland
  University in 2007! (It is never too late to go
  to school)

Who is Mrs. Timothy(personal information)?

• I grew up in New York and moved to Ohio 20 years
  ago from Pittsburgh. I have been married for 29
  years and live in Wooster. My husband has his own
  consulting business and we have two kids. Drew
  lives in Pittsburgh and works for Apple
  Computer. Kelley is in Marketing and lives in
  Cleveland.
