Water Wasted Per DayI learned that United States
uses up the most water per person per day.

I learned how much water I saved while brushing
my teeth with just a small cup of water. This
chart shows about how much was saved in
milliliters and liters.

When I did Down The Drain, I learned
about the population of Redford, the population
of Michigan, and the population of the United
States. I also learned how long the water in
the faucet took to warm up and then measured the
amount of water wasted while waiting for it to
become warm. After multiplying the amount we
measured by the population and then the daily
amount wasted for each population by 365 days in
a year, we found this Redford wastes about
52,145,725 liters of water per year.Michigan
wastes about 9,000,694,870 liters of water per
year.The United States wastes about
262,252,5000,000 liters of water per year.

Wasting Water is not a Good ThingI will not
leave the water on while brushing my teeth.When
I wash the dishes I will fill up only one side
of the sink, so I dont waste water.I will not
take long in the shower.
