The Retina

• There are two types of visual cells in the retina
• Rods black and white vision
• Conescolor vision (red, green, and blue)
• Macula lutea
• It is specialized for high acuity vision.
• Within the macula are is the fovea
• Fovea Centralis
• responsible for sharp central visions, which is
  necessary for any activity where visual detail is
  important
• which contain a high density of cones
