What is Constructivism?

• Focus on learners/students rather than teacher.
• Learners construct knowledge for themselves,
  engaging with the world.
• Learning is an active process rather than a
  passive assimilation of information or rote
  memorization.
• Learning is contextual - we learn in context
  with what else we know. Learning focuses on
  wholes and not on isolated facts.

• Learning is a social process cooperative
  learning, dialogue with peers, teachers.
• Learners construct new ideas and concepts based
  on their previous knowledge.
• Teacher as a facilitator try and encourage
  students to discover principles by themselves.
