3Purpose of Web Orders
- To improve the functionality of the current
orders process (AOWPS) by maximizing the expanded
features of the internet and integrating this
functionality with the inherent capabilities of
the Monitor Assignment Support System (MASS) - MASS is a HQMC application that is used to assign
Marines PCS/PCA orders via the Web Orders System,
this system is used by HQMC only
4Functionality of Web Orders
- An enhanced tracking capability for all HQMC
designated recipients to monitor the disposition
of orders at all times - A security system that allows positive
management of orders delivery and receipt - Gives the local MISSO authority to assign,
update, or delete order writing activities access
to Web Orders - The capability to distribute full-text orders
in a format that is printable from the internet
to all HQMC designated recipients - Gives the order writing activity an endorsement
within the web orders system
5Goal of the Web Orders System
- The Goal will be achieved in a two phase
process. - To complete the full automation of the assignment
process, practically eliminating the use for
naval messages. - To combine both officer and enlisted orders under
one joint system.
6Phase I
- Allows monitors to assign Marines PCS/PCA through
the MASS application, with delivery and receipt
utilizing web order - Provides detailed orders unlike AOWPS, these
orders will be easy to read, reducing the need to
decipher confusing acronyms and verbiage

- Highlights the functionalities of Phase II
- Consolidated web-based inbound/outbound roster
- View only access
- Email notification
8Phase II
- Allows the operating forces to have an automated
means to project inbound/outbound (queries)
Marines. - Email notification to individual Marines stating
that they are in receipt of orders.

13Finding a Marine in Receipt of Orders
You can now view the ORDERS DETAILS by
selecting the cubes icon.
14You may now select the DATE TIME that is
highlighted to see when they were received and
who acknowledged, or endorsed them.
15Using the ADVANCED FIND Option
The Advanced Find option is very useful when
you only want to view a certain MCC/RUC
16Advanced Find
Additional info that can be inputted are, RUC,
MCC, Future MCC, Order Status, EDD and EDA.
In this case we typed in MCC 1EE.
17Side Panel
The Side Panel contains options to view
received, acknowledged, endorsed, or
outbound/inbound Marines with orders.
18Received Orders
You can sort the view by clicking on any of the
columns
19Acknowledged Orders
To acknowledge click on SELECT ALL or select
individual MBRs
20Acknowledged Orders
Once the orders of your organization have been
acknowledged they are automatically moved from
the received list to the acknowledged list
21Endorsed Orders
The Auto Endorse option endorses order with a
generic endorsement.
22Endorsing Orders
The Edit Endorse option allows you to edit the
text in the first endorsement.

You can sort the view by clicking on any of the
columns.

You can sort the view by clicking on any of the
columns.

26Email Notification
- For Marines to get a notification telling them
that they are in receipt of orders, they need to
get an MOL account. - They need to fill out the monitor contact page
in MOL. On that page it ask for an email
address. - Whatever address they provide on that page
that is where the notification will go.

Your e-mail address will display, this is the
address where your orders notification will be
sent.

- Detailed Workflow
- Greater Roles Responsibilities
(Depending on Billet) - Goal for Reporting Unit Level
- Electronic Checklists(Overseas Screening, DI,
MSG, Recruiting) - Orders Templates will be generated only when the
checklist is completed.
