Purpose of Web Orders
  • To improve the functionality of the current

features of the internet and integrating this
functionality with the inherent capabilities of
the Monitor Assignment Support System (MASS)
  • MASS is a HQMC application that is used to assign
Marines PCS/PCA orders via the Web Orders System,
this system is used by HQMC only

4
Functionality of Web Orders
  • An enhanced tracking capability for all HQMC
designated recipients to monitor the disposition
    of orders at all times
  • A security system that allows positive
management of orders delivery and receipt
  • Gives the local MISSO authority to assign,
update, or delete order writing activities access
    to Web Orders
  • The capability to distribute full-text orders
in a format that is printable from the internet
    to all HQMC designated recipients
  • Gives the order writing activity an endorsement
    within the web orders system

5
Goal of the Web Orders System
  • The Goal will be achieved in a two phase
    process.
  • To complete the full automation of the assignment
process, practically eliminating the use for
    naval messages.
  • To combine both officer and enlisted orders under
    one joint system.

6
Phase I
  • Allows monitors to assign Marines PCS/PCA through
the MASS application, with delivery and receipt
    utilizing web order
  • Provides detailed orders unlike AOWPS, these
orders will be easy to read, reducing the need to
    decipher confusing acronyms and verbiage
