Title: ONE
1ONE 1 Corinthians 1117-34
217 I am no longer in the world and yet they
themselves are in the world, and I come to You.
Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name
which You have given Me, that they may be one
even as We are.
John 1711
3ONE 1 Corinthians 1117-34
417 I am no longer in the world and yet they
themselves are in the world, and I come to You.
Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name
which You have given Me, that they may be one
even as We are.
John 1711
520 I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but
for those also who believe in Me through their
word 21 that they may all be one even as You,
Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also
may be in Us, so that the world may believe that
You sent Me.
John 1720-23
622 "The glory which You have given Me I have
given to them, that they may be one, just as We
are one 23 I in them and You in Me, that they
may be perfected in unity, so that the world may
know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as
You have loved Me.
John 1720-23
716 Is not the cup of blessing which we bless a
sharing in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread
which we break a sharing in the body of Christ?
17 Since there is one bread, we who are many are
one body for we all partake of the one bread.
1 Corinthians 1016-17
817 But in giving this instruction, I do not
praise you, because you come together not for the
better but for the worse. 18 For, in the first
place, when you come together as a church, I hear
that divisions exist among you and in part I
believe it.
1 Corinthians 1117-18
920 Therefore when you meet together, it is not
to eat the Lord's Supper, 21 for in your eating
each one takes his own supper first and one is
hungry and another is drunk.
1 Corinthians 1120-21
1022 What! Do you not have houses in which to eat
and drink? Or do you despise the church of God
and shame those who have nothing? What shall I
say to you? Shall I praise you? In this I will
not praise you.
1 Corinthians 1122
1123 For I received from the Lord that which I
also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the
night in which He was betrayed took bread 24 and
when He had given thanks, He broke it and said,
"This is My body, which is for you do this in
remembrance of Me."
1 Corinthians 1123-24
1225 In the same way He took the cup also after
supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in
My blood do this, as often as you drink it, in
remembrance of Me."
1 Corinthians 1125
1326 For as often as you eat this bread and drink
the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until He
comes.
1 Corinthians 1126
1427 Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks
the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall
be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.
1 Corinthians 1127
15Perhaps there is no expression in the Bible that
has given more trouble to weak and feeble
Christians than this Most persons interpret it
as if .. It refers to their personal
qualifications, to their unfitness to partake
of it, rather than to the manner in which it is
done. It is to be remembered, therefore, that the
word used here is an adverb, and not an
adjective, and has reference to the manner of
observing the ordinance, and not to their
personal qualifications or fitness.
Albert Barns 1798 - 1870
1628 But a man must examine himself, and in so
doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the
cup.
29 For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks
judgment to himself if he does not judge the body
rightly.
1 Corinthians 1128 - 29
17ONE 1 Corinthians 1117-34
1833 So then, my brethren, when you come together
to eat, wait for one another. 34 If anyone is
hungry, let him eat at home, so that you will not
come together for judgment. The remaining matters
I will arrange when I come.
1 Corinthians 1117-34
19ONE 1 Corinthians 1117-34
20We belong to Christ and we belong to one another.
21God loves you and I love you too.
