What is the minimum Rotary attendance
requirement?
If a member fails to meet the following minimum
attendance requirement, the member shall be
subject to termination unless the board consents
to such non-attendance for good cause

• attend or make up at least 60 of regular club
  meetings in each half of the year
• attend at least 30 of this clubs regular
  meetings in each half of the year.
• not to miss 4 consecutive meetings

How can a Rotarian earn a make-up?
Within 14 days before and after the missed
meeting, if the member

• attends the regular meeting of another club
• attends a meeting of Rotaract/Interact club, a
  club service project, a club-sponsored community
  event, or any event declared to be a make-up by
  the board.
• attends a board or committee meeting
• participates in online website
  interactive activity at www.rotaryclubone.org

When can a members absence be excused?

• the board may excuse a members absence for
  reasons that it considers to be good and
  sufficient.
• the aggregate of the members years of age and
  years of membership in one or more clubs is 85
  years or more and the member has notified the
  club secretary in writing of the members desire
  to be excused from attendance and the board has
  approved.

When can a members absence be excused?

• upon written application to the board, setting
  forth good and sufficient cause, leave of absence
  may be granted excusing a member from attending
  the meetings of the club for a specified length
  of time.
• if a member is a current officer of RI

How does a member notify the club of his/her
make-up?

• Notify Our Executive Secretary (Fred Bowers)
  either verbally or in writing.

• The Attendance Committee will pass-around a
  make-up sheet each meeting so that you may note
  a make-up.

ATTENDANCE GOALS

• In conclusion, the attendance committee is hoping
  that a 60 average attendance over the past year
  can improve to 70 over the course of the year
  for the betterment of the club.
• Also, recognition and awards should encourage
  attendance.
