Study Guide
  • If you want students to download a study guide,
place the link on this page.

3
Introduction
  • The 'Introduction' section creates a context for
the task and should be a short introductory
paragraph, that introduces the WebQuest activity.
It should be written in a style that hooks and
    engages the learner.

4
Task
  • The 'Task' section focuses your learners on what
they are going to do. What is their task?

5
Process
  • The 'Process' section should outline how the
learners will go about accomplishing the task. It
is very important to make sure that it includes
clear guidance or steps on how they should
organize their information. The steps or guidance
could include a set of questions for them to
answer, or specific areas they should concentrate
    or reflect on.

6
Resources
  • The 'Resources' section should contain a list of
websites, web pages or other objects which you
have found that will help your learners
accomplish the task. All resources should be
pre-selected by you so that learners can focus
their attention on the topic rather than surfing
aimlessly. Of course, there is nothing wrong with
encouraging your learners to search for their own
information, but provide support and guidance on
what you want them to search for. If this is a
method you wish to use, include within your
resources links to appropriate search engines -
they are not all the same! You may also consider
a blended approach whereby not all of your
resources are online, they might be magazines or
    a NLN Learning Object etc.
  • Use the arrow buttons to page through the
    resources.

Evaluation
  • It is very important that the learners know how
their work will be assessed and whether there
will be individual or group marks, grades, or
levels. The 'Evaluation' section should describe
the evaluation criteria needed to determine how
well the learner (or group of learners) has
    done.

13
Conclusion
  • The 'WebQuest Conclusion' section brings the
WebQuest to a close and should encourage learners
to reflect on what they have achieved. Summarise
what the learners will have accomplished or
learned by completing this activity. You might
think about including some thought provoking open
questions to encourage them to extend their
    thinking.

14
Teacher
  • The teachers page is an optional page which you
can add to your WebQuest website. You can use
this page to give other teachers or tutors
information on how to deploy the WebQuest with a
    group of learners.
