sections of your local newspapers, look through

through the listings on Craigslist. - (2) Or you can go to Offices2Share.com and youll
get all the information you need in one place.

- Once youve completed your search and narrowed
down your list of executive suites and/or shared
office spaces in your preferred locations, start
calling them to find out what spaces are
available, their asking prices, whats included
in the rent, if there are additional charges, and
so on.

- Narrow down your list to no more than your five
top choices and make an appointment to tour each
location.

- Visit all five locations. You should be able to
complete this in one day. Be diligent. Go back to
the checklists and make a list of questions to
ask, things to look for, etc. Decide what is
important to you and do not deviate from the plan.

- Day 6 Sign the agreement and pay any up-front
fees (security deposit, etc.). Plan to make the
move.
17Organize Your Move
- Get rid of dead files
- Send out some form of communication with your new
contact info - Order preprinted address labels
- Borrow a pick-up truck and a friend or two
- Label and inventory your boxes
- 6. File an official change of business address
with the post office - 7. Make arrangements for phone/internet to be
ready - 8. Check for obstacles to the move in advance
- 9. Once you get there, set up a staging area

- Day 7 Contact the U.S. Postal Service and make
a business address change. - Get boxes from a local store or buy them new from
a stationery store. - Make sure all the office paperwork is in order.

professional mover, U-Haul truck, or a personal
vehicle. -
- Make arrangements with people who will help you
move and decide how you will re-pay them for
their help (dinner at a local diner, for example).

- Day 9 Start packing up nonessential business
items files, folders, paper, etc. - Mark each box with a clear description.
- Make a list of supplies you will need for the new
office.

- Day 10 Send out communications to other
businesses about your intentions to move. - Get together all of the phone numbers you will
need for the move day (people who are helping,
movers, office manager, doorman, local
restaurants, etc.)

nonessential business items. - Check with office manager to confirm move-in time
and any last-minute instructions. - Confirm that the phone and Internet have been
turned on.

and time and let them know the plan for the move
