Glue Quality Control
  • Quality control at Huntsman established (thanks
    to H. Risch, GSI)
  • Electrical and mechanical parameters are measured
  • -gt We accept (or not) the batch.
  • Procedure in place for the last batch of AW106
    and AW116 (all Parameters were OK)
  • GSI will do some own tests for comparison

Padplane Production
  • Papdlane soldering moved from Frankfurt to TU
    Darmstadt (H.Oeschler)
  • Production running since February
  • 5 people (Anton Przybyla et al.)
  • 100 paplanes done
  • Some problems with test device (solved)

Radiator grounding
  • Radiators are grounded with Scotch copper
    (conductive) tape to L-profiles
  • Christian discovered decreasing conductivity with
    time (leading to periodic discharges -gt HV
    instabilities)
  • Lesson Conductive copper tape (Scotch3M) is not
    suited for long term grounding (used in other
    places?!?)
  • Solution Silver epoxy. (procedure needs to be
    defined)
