Why do we need an adult autism strategy?

• Prevalence 1 in 100 of the population have ASC.
• Poor access to diagnosis.
• People are falling through gaps in services.
• Local services are inappropriate and
  unresponsive.
• Lack of knowledge of autism.

autism?

• Better planning for services.
• Personalised support.
• Develop a better understanding of the needs of
  people with autism.
• More services developed locally.
• Right services available when needed.
• Social care and health and wider workforce better
  understanding of the needs of people with ASC.
