Introduction
  • Oh no! All of the worlds greatest wonders
    have been moved! You have been chosen along with
    three other classmates to track down one of the
    wonders and return it to where it originally
    belongs.

Task
  • At the end of this lesson you will have learned
    about one of the worlds greatest wonders and the
    country it belongs in. You will be required to
    use internet and library resources.

Process 1
  • First, you must find out what group and
    wonder you are assigned to. Then, using the web
    and library resources to research you must put
    together a report to turn in. Your group will
    make a poster-board with pictures and facts on
    your country and wonder.
  • 1. First you'll be assigned to a team of 4
    students.
  • 2. You will use the web pages and library
    resources to research your country and the
    wonder.
  • 3. Together as a group you will gather the
    information you found to make a report to type
    and turn in.
  • 4. Then, as a group you should make a creative
    poster board to display in class. Make sure to
    add interesting facts so the classmates can learn
    about your county as well.

Evaluation
  • You will be graded on the report you turn in and
    your poster board. Working together to create a
    well organized report and a creative poster board
    is very important. Here is a rubric for you to
    use to keep track of how you will be graded.

Conclusion
  • In this lesson you should have branched out and
    learned about other cultures and interesting
    things in the world. I encourage you to learn
    more about the other wonders and explore other
    countries. There is so many interesting things to
    find!!!
  • This is also a good place to provide students
    with links to sites and resources that are
    related to their projects so they can follow up
    on what they have learned.

    students, it is for the subject area geography.
    It could very easily be used for 7th and 8th
    grade students as well.

    a team, and to expand their knowledge out of the
    united states.

Process 1 (Teacher)
  • First, you must find out what group and wonder
    you are assigned to. Then, You must figure out
    which of the group members are going to be
    researching the wonder and who will be assigned
    to the country. After using the web and library
    resources to research you must put together a
    report to turn in. Your group will make a
    poster-board with pictures and facts on your
    country and wonder.

  • This lesson should take about one week and a half
    to complete. The first day will be review of the
    lesson and group assignments. The second and
    third day would be for research. The Third and
    fourth days for the groups to work on their
    report together. Fifth and sixth days to work on
    poster board and finish up report.

Resources (Teacher)
  • This lesson will require computers and books for
    research. Materials such as poster board, glue
    and drawing materials.
  • Only one teacher should be needed to supervise
    students.

Evaluation (Teacher)
  • This lesson will be successful if the students
    gathered interesting information on their place
    and wonder. The detail in the report and poster
    board will show their enthusiasm. The students
    should understand the basics of their researched
    country. They will be graded on the content of
    their report and neatness and extent of the

Conclusions (Teacher)
  • This lesson should be used to teach students of
    other places out of the united states. There is
    such an interesting world out there and they will
    be researching these areas by being drawn in by
    one of the worlds greatest wonders. Their
    curiosity will make them want to explore more
    areas.
