8Scheme Low cost on farm storage structure
- Rate of assistance 25 of the estimated unit
cost up to Rs.1.00 lakhs i.e. ,250 00 per unit - Physical Financial Targets 50 units Rs
12.50 Lakhs - Justification
- There is considerable demand for low cost on
farm storage structure for the storage of Onion,
potato garlic in the state. Farmers can store
their produce for 3 to 4 months in such low cost
storage structure .
9Scheme Horticulture Exhibition
- Rate of assistance Rs. 25000 per event.
- Physical Financial Targets 25 Exhibition at
total cost of Rs.6.25 Lakhs during 2005-06. - Justification
- Seeing is believing is the basic motto of
this component. Through exhibition / seminar
farmers can get latest information on variety of
the crop and latest technologies.
10Scheme Self employment / Value addition on
field
- Rate of assistance 50 of the cost of Rs.3.0
Lakhs i.e. 1.50 Lakhs per unit per beneficiaries - Physical Financial Targets 25 units with the
total financial outlay of Rs. 37.5 Lakhs - Justification There is vast area under
vegetables and also considerable area under
aromatic crops. Particularly in Tribal districts
, value addition is the prime requirement in
Horticulture considering this to create
additional employment by establishing small
scale on farm distillation unit for aromatic
plant and processing units for fruits/nuts
vegetable.
11Scheme Strenthning of Horticulture Nurseries
- Rate of assistance 100 for public sector
and 50 for private sector. Unit cost Rs.3.00
Lakhs / Nursery - Financial Targets 33.00 lakhs
- Justification About 330 nurseries are existing
in public/private sector in the state. These
nurseries are required to be strengthen to
produce quality planting materials and increase
their capacity. As there is no provision in NHM
for strengthening of existing nursery the
component is proposed.
12Scheme Distribution of tarpaulin sheet
- Rate of assistance 50 of the the cost , up to
Rs. 1000 per each - Physical Financial Targets 1000 sheet Rs
10.00 Lakhs - Justification
- During the harvesting, quality of horticultural
produce detoriate due to the direct expose to
the soil/dust. - Use of Tarpaulin sheet helps to protect on farm
quality of produce during grading sorting.
13Scheme Support for planting material in arid
and semi arid zones for date Palm
- Rate of assistance 25 of the unit cost of
Rs.2000/- i.e. ,Rs.500/- per plant admissible to
160 plants per ha per each beneficiaries - Physical Financial Targets 100 Ha Rs 80.00
Lakhs - Justification
- Date palm is a monopoly crop of Kutch
district in Gujarat State. Kutchi dates are world
famous for its quality. Indigenous TC plants are
not available and import of tissue plant is
costly ,(about Rs.3000/ plant). To encourage use
of quality planting material, this scheme is
proposed.
