• CARGO MPS TESTING OF NOVEC 1230
• FAATC will initiate testing program to evaluate
  NovecTM 1230 as a possible candidate to replace
  Halon 1301 in the cargo compartment area.
• Testing will start 2nd Quarter 2006.
• A COTS system will be used Fenwal Engineered
  Fire Suppression System designed for use with
  3MTM NovecTM 1230 Fire Protection Fluid.
• The latest version (2nd Update, June 2005) of
  the Minimum Performance Standard for Aircraft
  Cargo Compartment Fire Suppression Systems will
  be used during this program.
