ROBOTICS

• STUDENTS WILL USE A COMPUTER CONTROLLED ROBOT TO
  DESIGN AN AUUTOMATED WORK CELL..
  
• THE ADVANTAGES AND LIMITATIONS, OF ROBOTS WILL
  EXPOLED AS SUDENTS DESIGN THEIR OWN CONTROL
  PROGRAMS.

HYDRAULICS

• Students interconnect the various hydraulic
  devices provided, to produce powerful control
  systems. These devices are then applied to
  problem solving tasks where low energy control of
  very powerful movements is required.

PNEUMATICS

• Students investigate the basic building blocks of
  modern pneumatics and how they are interconnected
  to form systems.

COMPUTER ADIED DESIGN CAD

• Students are taken step step through drafting
  using Auto CAD and are given professional
  approach to engineering design on computer.

Mechanisms

• Students construct and test a range of mechanisms
  to evaluate them against design criteria. A wide
  rage of different systems that incorporate gear
  wheels, belts drives and pulleys are tested.

GRAPHICS and ANIMATION

• Students will design their own animation
  sequences as they develop their skills to use the
  latest computer graphic.

NAVIGATION and GPS

• By completing this module students will always
  know the answer. Where on earth am I ? This
  module will teach about the use of GPS systems,
  mapping reading and geography.

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

• Students will see how digital technology is
  changing the way we capture and process images.
  Students will use the digital camera and pc-based
  imaging software.

AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY

• This unique technology module will provide
  students with a fascination, practical insight
  into the working of a modern computer controlled
  automobile
