    OpenOpportunity
  • Inform you as to how and when you can find out
    more about the various pathways.
  • Tell you about the application process for the

What is the Young Apprenticeship (YA) programme?
YAs available in
YAs involve
  • Based on realistic workplace situations.
  • Equivalent to 4 GCSEs at grades A - C
  • 50 days work related learning.
  • 1 day a week in Y10 11
  • Retail
  • Health Social Care
  • Performing Arts
  • Sport
  • Construction

  • A huge change to what is available to you in KS4

Your Diploma package
  • 2 days a week on the Diploma (Wednesdays and
    Fridays) throughout KS4 the other 3 days are
    spend on core GCSE subjects at school
  • Venues best facilities
  • Within the 2 days you get to choose whether to
    do an option GCSE subject to give you more
    variety or more specialism or, for some Diploma
    subjects, a specialist course. Whatever fits your
    interests and aspirations.
  • 10 days work experience
  • Project on something that you are interested in.
  • Skills that employers and further
    education/sixth forms want
