Microsoft Encarta Short Story
  • Summary
  • Encarta Short Story Competition is a creative
    writing competition driven through public schools
    and open to students in grades 2-6
  • Competition kits will be sent out to all public,
    private catholic primary schools from May 3
    inviting them to participate. Kits will also
    drive schools to license Encarta and regularly
    use it as an education resource
  • Objective
  • Increase attach of Encarta to Schools Agreements
    by generating awareness in licensing (key for
    Private Catholic schools).
  • Increase deployment rates awareness of
    Encartas features for schools with Encarta
    already licensed
  • Customer Offer
  • Kits (include trial CD of Encarta, frequently ask
    questions, posters and entry forms) will be sent
    out to approx 7300 primary schools.
  • Students have to write a story on a space theme,
    and are recommended to use Encarta to help them
    research space.
  • Teachers send in class entries on a competition
    entry form. Entries must be received by 10 June
    2005.
