Introduction

• Purpose- find math websites that will enhance
  teachers lesson plans
• Best 20 out of 50 websites were put in an
  Internet Address Book (IAB) which can be found in
  appendix
• Websites are free with a few charging a fee for
  additional material
• Websites geared primarily towards high school
  teachers
• Websites sometimes give a different perspective
  on various math topics
• Websites offer numerous examples, worksheets,
  collaborative activities, quizzes, tests, along
  with objectives and standards for each topic.

• The chosen websites provide the following
  information
• From basic math through Calculus
• Tutorials giving tips on study skills, ways to
  reduce math anxiety
• Numerous examples of solved problems found in a
  typical high school mathematics textbook
• Offer worksheets and videos to facilitate your
  understanding of the concept

• Math.com has a reference table containing
  formulas for every high school math subject
• Manipula Math uses animation to manipulate graphs
  in helping students understand mathematical ideas
• Cool Math 4 kids contained material for students
  in need of remedial math
• Hawaii.edu had a collection of word problems
  illustrating concept and application based
  problems
