Two Ways

• Christ puts in front of us Two Choices
• Broad Gate and Broad Way
• Narrow Gate and Narrow Way
• Christ shows these two are the only ways
• No Neutral, medium size gate
• No Middle ground
• Black or white, Good or Bad
• Gives us the freedom to choose.
• Not forced to serve

One or the Other

• (Deut 3014-15) But the word is very nigh unto
  thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou
  mayest do it. See, I have set before thee this
  day life and good, and death and evil
• (1 Kings 1821) And Elijah came unto all the
  people, and said, How long halt ye between two
  opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him but if
  Baal, then follow him. And the people answered
  him not a word.

Wide Gate

• Easily Entered
• The alternative to the Narrow Gate
• You can do whatever pleases yourself
• Or you can do nothing at all
• Most will enter in there
• (1 John 519) And we know that we are of God,
  and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

Narrow Gate

• Hardly wide enough to admit one at all.
• Gate is the entrance and hard to get in.
• Indicates the difficulty of the first right step
  toward God.
• One must overcome all natural inclinations
• We must Strive
• (Luke 1324) Strive to enter in at the strait
  gate for many, I say unto you, will seek to
  enter in, and shall not be able.
• That Gate is Through Christ
• (John 107) Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am
  the door of the sheep.

Broad Way

• Comfortable to our natural selves
• Broad enough for us and our sins
• We can carry all of our sins on our backs on this
  road.
• Its the way most traveled, Most common

Narrow Way

• Narrow and dangerous road.
• Must leave the luggage of Sin behind us.
• The Narrow way is through Christ
• (John 146) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way,
  the truth, and the life no man cometh unto the
  Father, but by me.

Two Companies

• Broad Way
• Many
• Popular
• Self will
• Narrow Way
• Few
• Unpopular
• Gods Will
• Christ is in our company!
• (Matt 2820) I am with you alway, even unto the
  end of the world

Two Destinations

• Broad Way
• Destruction
• (2 Thess 17-10) And to you who are troubled
  rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be
  revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In
  flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know
  not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord
  Jesus Christ Who shall be punished with
  everlasting destruction from the presence of the
  Lord, and from the glory of his power When he
  shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to
  be admired in all them that believe (because our
  testimony among you was believed) in that day.
• (Rev 2015) And whosoever was not found written
  in the book of life was cast into the lake of
  fire.

• Narrow Way
• Eternal Life
• (Rev 213-4) And I heard a great voice out of
  heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is
  with men, and he will dwell with them, and they
  shall be his people, and God himself shall be
  with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe
  away all tears from their eyes and there shall
  be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying,
  neither shall there be any more pain for the
  former things are passed away.
