  • Lessons To show them how unique and special they
    are.Show them how their differences make them
    special.
  • To develop a love and respect for themselves and
    others

  • After a number of lessons the pupils will vote
    for their classroom rules.
  • This enables them to identify with those rules

  • Children learning one Spelling list at home. This
    Spelling list is usually from the Letter Land
    programme. The one contained in the Children's
    homework contract book
  • Children work on Spelling text book activities in
    class

  • Monday Introduce new Spelling list. Go through
    sounds ,smaller words ,syllables,alphabetical
    order ,shape of word
  • Tuesday Children write down 3 meanings from the
    dictionary.
  • At home Look, say,cover,spell,check approach
    .Learn words

  • Wednesday.Form 6 sentences in class from the
    Spelling list
  • Thursday-Spelling game
  • Friday Spelling test .Star given on chart to
    encourage children to study words at home

Mathematics
  • Go Maths programme is the core text book for
    the class. Student Journal used in the classroom.
  • Will generally be following the suggested
    coverage of the topics.
  • Go Figure-Computation Practice. Sometimes might
    be sent home
  • Assessment Will be from the Go Check". Other
    forms of assessment will be - teacher
    observations - pupil classroom work,etc

  • Children finish Mathematics section in contract
    text book at home

  • Contract book is explained on the Monday .The
    contract book is brought back to school on the
    Friday to be marked in class.
  • Encourage the children to do some of the contract
    book each night
  • Reading book is to be read each night and signed
    by parents

  • If they are getting to much /or little homework
    come and see me or write me a letter
  • Remember we want to encourage them to work not
    punish them for working to well - As a guide -10
    to 20 minutes recommended

  • Children are to finish Homework Contract Book ,
    Learn Spelling words each night and read to you
    each night. Another two activities done over two
    weeks

Home-Assembly-Art Clothes-Swimming/Sport Clothes
  • Assembly Friday 9.00-March 19th ,week 8.In Hall
  • Art Clothes-Old shirt needed.Has to be brought to
    school
  • Swimming /Sport Clothes need to be brought in on
    the correct day. Swimming is on Tuesday and P.E
    on Thursday
