  in which learning takes place in new digital and
  flexible ways

How to log in

• Go to http//blyant.uio.no NB! No www
• Type in your username
• Type in you password
• Choose language
• Press OK

Fronter Top bar!

• Log on http//blyant.uio.no NB! No www !!
• On opening page Today click on your own name and
  add your cell phone number if you wish to share
  it. Add a personal photo if you wish
• On the E-mail icon, check that your UIO e-mail
  is configured
• If not use the following server settings imap/
  imap.uio.no/ username and password the same as
  for Fronter.
• To read e-mail outside Fronter use
  http//webmail.uio.no Please set up a forwarding
  service if you want to use another email address
  but make sure that you have access and read your
  UIO email regularly! Many teachers send messages
  directly from Fronter to all students
• My archive in the top bar offers personal
  storage space and provides a handy place for
  files you are working on and for files you wish
  to work with at another computer.
• The Fronter Instant Messenger ? to the right in
  the top bar is a convenient way to chat with
  co-students. Open it. At the arrow besides your
  name make sure enable pop up windows is ticked
  and add friends to your list.

Fronter Left bar!

• The Room Selector Roller Curtain is you main
  navigation tool. It shows rooms you have marked
  as favourites in the Display all rooms list and
  recently visited rooms.
• NB! Make sure you are a member of all rooms you
  have elected by reading through Display all
  rooms. Change membership in Fronterooms by using
  http//studentweb.uio.no or by contacting the
  Fronter contact person at the faculty see next
  slide
• The left bar can be altered by any teacher but
  as a standard setting the Faculty of Theology
  make use the following tools. (If you lack any
  tools please ask your teacher to activate them
  Fronter has over 40 tools for an overview see
  www.fronter.com
• Kursinfo, the chosen Fronterroom at a glance a
  Today for each room
• Participants Shows members and display contact
  information. An easy way to send e-mail to others
  is by clicking on their name in the list.
• Lessons Here all files, links and learning
  content will be found and organised in relevant
  folders
• Portfolio A tool to see what you have done in
  this room
• Forum Can be used for questions and answers or
  stored discussions. Discussions can be informal
  or organized by topic or as a netmeeting.
• Hand in Individualised folder for individual or
  group student work. In order to submit assessment
  work choose upload file browse for file on
  your local pc and press save in the bottom right
  corner. Use standard files, .doc/.rtf/.pdf
