Title: The Book Of ACTS

1
The Book Of ACTS
  • PAULS PROCLAMATION

2
Acts 2024 However, I consider my life worth
nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and
complete the task the Lord Jesus has given methe
task of testifying to the gospel of Gods grace.
3
I. Pauls Farewell Proclamation
  • Acts 2025 Now I know that none of you among
whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom will
    ever see me again.
  • Acts 2026-27 Therefore, I declare to you today
that I am innocent of the blood of all men. For I
have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole
    will of God.

4
A. What Is Gods Will?
  • Eph. 515-17 Be very careful, then, how you
livenot as unwise but as wise, making the most
of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what
    the Lords will is.
  • Eph. 518 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads
to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the
    Spirit.

5
Eph. 519-20 Speak to one another with psalms,
hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in
your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to
God the Father for everything, in the name of our
Lord Jesus Christ.
6
I Thess. 516-18 Be joyful always pray
continually give thanks in all circumstances,
for this is Gods will for you in Christ Jesus.
7
II. Pauls Frightening Proclamation
  • Acts 2028 Keep watch over yourselves and all
the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you
overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God,
which he bought with his own blood.

8
A. Be Prepared At All Times
  • I Peter 58 Be self-controlled and alert. Your
enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion
looking for someone to devour. Resist him,
    standing firm in the faith.
  • Acts 2029-30 I know that after I leave, savage
wolves will come in among you and will not spare
the flock. Even from your own number men will
arise and distort the truth in order to draw away
    disciples after them.

9
Acts 2031 So be on your guard! Remember that
for three years I never stopped warning each of
you night and day with tears.
10
I Peter 113-16 Therefore, prepare your minds
for action be self-controlled set your hope
fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus
Christ is revealed. As obedient children, do not
conform to the evil desires you had when you
lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you
is holy, so be holy in all you do for it is
written Be holy, because I am holy.
11
III. Pauls Final Proclamation
  • Acts 2032 Now I commit you to God and to the
word of his grace, which can build you up and
give you an inheritance among all those who are
    sanctified.
  • Acts 2033-34 I have not coveted anyones
silver or gold or clothing. You yourselves know
that these hands of mine have supplied my own
needs and the needs of my companions.

12
I Tim. 517-18 The elders who direct the
affairs of the church well are worthy of double
honor, especially those whose work is preaching
and teaching. For the Scripture says, Do not
muzzle the ox while it is treading out the
grain, and The worker deserves his wages.
13
Acts 2035 In everything I did, I showed you
that by this kind of hard work we must help the
weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus
himself said It is more blessed to give than to
receive.
14
A. You Cant Take It With You!
  • II Cor. 96-8 Remember this Whoever sows
sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever
sows generously will also reap generously. Each
man should give what he has decided in his heart
to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for
God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to
make all grace abound to you, so that in all
things at all times, having all that you need,
you will abound in every good work.

15
I Tim. 66-8 But godliness with contentment is
great gain. For we brought nothing into the
world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if
we have food and clothing, we will be content
with that.
16
I Tim. 69-10 People who want to get rich fall
into temptation and a trap and into many foolish
and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and
destruction. For the love of money is a root of
all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money,
have wandered from the faith and pierced
themselves with many griefs.
17
Acts 2036-37 When he had said this, he knelt
down with all of them and prayed. They all wept
as they embraced him and kissed him.
18
Acts 2038 What grieved them most was his
statement that they would never see his face
again. Then they accompanied him to the ship.
