Title: Is Jesus THE Savior of the World

1
Is Jesus THE Savior of the World?
  • Reasonable evidence that Jesus is the only
Savior of this world. Jn. 146

2
Introduction
  • The Bible is precisely and explicitly exclusive
    in its claim to salvation.
  • The O.T. makes it clear that God is the only
Savior There is no God apart from me, a
righteous God and a Savior there is none but
    me. Isa 4521 (Isa. 4311)
  • The N.T. also makes it clear that Jesus is the
only Savior and way to God (the Savior). Jn. 146
    (Acts 412)

3
Introduction
  • That said, there are many religions that
  • Also claim exclusivity.
  • Or, claims that all religions are equal.
  • So, is Jesus the Savior of the world... or not?

4
All Religions are Not Created Equal
  • What this means is that exclusive as well as
inclusive religions though contrary to one
another each claim truth about salvation.

5
All Religions are Not Created Equal
  • This logically is not acceptable
  • Exclusive religions (like Judaism, Islam, and
Christianity) demand that all other religions are
false and thus all religions cannot be considered
    equal.
  • Inclusive religions (religious plural-ism) is
contradictory itself as it looks down upon
exclusive reli-gions, thus contradicting its own
belief that all religions are equal.

6
The Logical Case For Jesus
  • The historical fact of His resurrection.
  • Jesus a historically recognized Jewish prophet
was arrested, judged as a criminal, crucified
because they understood his blasphemous claim
to be the Son of God. Matt. 27
  • Three days later after his body was carefully
guarded his body was found missing in the tomb.
    Matt. 28
  • About a month later followers of Jesus began
proclaimed his resurrection...even if it meant
    persecution or death. Acts 122 2ff 81ff 1
    Cor. 153-8 (Rom. 167)

7
The Logical Case For Jesus
  • NOTE No evidence has ever denounced the
    historical account.

8
The Logical Case For Jesus
  • The divinity of the Scriptures
  • Book of Daniel predicted future kingdoms 500
    years before Christ.
  • Prophecies Jesus couldnt affect, yet were
fulfilled His lineage through David (2 Sam.
712-16), location (Mic. 52), crucifixion (Isa.
5312), his garments (Ps. 2218), his burial
    (Isa. 539)
  • Jesus claimed that He was the One whom these
    prophesies pointed to.
  • Statistically, the probability is so high that
there cannot be doubt that the Bible is true
    regarding Jesus.

9
Conclusion
  • When looking at the evidence there can be no more
logical conclusion than to accept Jesus as the
    only Savior of the world.
  • Still, most having heard the gospel message -
do not/will not accept Jesus as the risen Christ
    the Savior of the world.
