Title: The FloodStopper System Sunshine Coast, BC
1The FloodStopper SystemSunshine Coast, BC
2What is it?
- The FloodStopper System is a patented, high-tech
water leak detection system that provides 24/7
protection against flooding due to internal
plumbing failures and accidental overflows. It
automatically shuts off the water supply
instantly upon detection of a leak. - The FloodStopper System is designed for use in
residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
3How does it work?
4How does it work?
- The FloodStopper System consists of low-profile
electronic sensors (designed to blend into the
décor of any property), a user-friendly control
panel, and a Honeywell shut-off valve. A
unique advantage of the Floodstopper System is
the close valve feature which allows you to shut
down the entire water supply with the push of a
button. The system costs less than the average
insurance deductible and can be interfaced with
most monitored security systems. It is UL, CUL,
IAPMO NSF approved and qualifies for insurance
premium reductions. - The FloodStopper System is a patented, high-tech

5FirstSmart Sensor Corp. was created in 1994 with
a mandate to become the premier supplier of water
and gas leak detection and automatic shutoff
products. It's first generation of Floodstopper
products was introduced to the North American
market in 1996. Since then, second and third
generation products have replaced the four zone
and single zone products, respectively. In
addition to marketing the FloodStopper product
in North America, considerable work has been
undertaken in the insurance industry. State Farm
Insurance, the largest North American home
insurance company features our product on their
website. Westland and IntactInsurance offer
annual home insurance premium reductions for
installing the FloodStopper System. Try these

The FloodStopper System by FirstSmart Sensor
Corp. is the world's first fully automated water
leak detection and control system. This new
system marks the first time that plumbing
hardware and electronics have been integrated to
deliver a system that detects water by using
electronic sensors. While alarms have been
available for water/flood detection, they lack
the ability to control a costly disaster. How
the FloodStopper System works Multiple sensors
are placed in zones throughout your home at
points of potential flooding. These sensors are
mounted on the floor near a potential problem
zone, such as behind toilets, washing machine,
dishwasher, or under bathroom sinks, kitchen
sink, the water heater and waterfed
refrigerators.

9The censors
- Sensors are available either in a hardwire or a
wireless version. The sensors are connected to
the FloodStopper System control panel and the
panel is then wired to a HoneyWell valve on your
water main. - If any one of these sensors detects water it
sends an electronic signal to the control panel.
The control panel will emit an audible alarm
and/or visual alarm. Some models may be wired
directly into the buildings alarm system. The
signal then activates a specially designed
Honeywell valve to turn the main water supply off
. . . all in a matter of seconds! - To locate the source of the leak, the multi-zone
control panel isolates the problem to one of the
four zones. The leak can be quickly isolated to a
particular sensor in that zone by checking for
water at the sensor locations. The same process
to isolate the sensor is used for the single zone
control panel. - With the supply of water turned off, a potential
disaster has been averted, relieving yourself of
all of the expense and headaches of flood damage
and insurance claims. - Once the leak has been corrected, simply press
the Reset button and the water supply is
restored. - FloodStopper Control Panels
- The Brains of the System !
- The control panels are the "brains" of the
FloodStopper System. They utilize microchip
technology to receive and send information to
stop a flood, as well as to warn you visually and
in some models, audibly, of any problem. What
could be simpler ! - Where desirable, some models may be connected to
your monitored Security Alarm System. - For areas where wiring is difficult, sensors may
be connected to the Control Panel by using
optional Remote Transmitters.
