Lessons Learned

• Starting early was good we should continue that
• Use 2nd IETF meeting for nominations
• Use 3rd IETF meeting for feedback and IVs
• Perhaps end earlier, since we are starting
  earlier?
• The community needs to be much more involved
• Please volunteer to be a member or accept a
  nomination
• At least contribute to the feedback collection
  process
• RFC 3777 is not always clear on some matters
• Some flexibility is good
• But some of it results in tussles between various
  parties involved in the process
• The nomcom and the IAB had a disagreement on
  information to be provided for confirmation
• After exhausting all avenues, we sought dispute
  resolution
• Scott Bradner will say more about it in the next
  presentation
