6General Education Requirements Transfer Agreement
(GERTA)
- GERTA is a statewide general education agreement
in which campuses detail their requirements for
general education completion and guarantee the
transfer of those GE programs or GE courses to
other participating institutions.

9Common Course Numbering System (CCNS)
- CCNS is a statewide program in which academic
discipline groups ensure certain courses are
similar enough in content and purpose that
students can transfer courses from one
institution to another. - More than 1800 courses make up the CCNS
- Discipline groups, in eighteen discipline areas,
are currently meeting to expand the System and to
build in competencies. Additional groups will
meet during SY 05-06 and still more groups will
meet during SY06-07.

11Articulation and Transfer Agreements
- Articulation/transfer agreements are pacts
between two or more institutions. These pacts
outline, in specific terms, the programs/courses
that should be completed prior to transferring to
another institution.

- This year saw the first system-wide articulation
agreementin Elementary Education. - Also under development are agreements in
Agriculture, Early Childhood Education, Secondary
