What is the Pride of the Wolfpack Award Who is
eligible for the Award?

• It is an "on the spot" award designed to
  recognize NC State employees for a special or
  unique contribution to their College/Unit or the
  University.
• The program recognizes SPA and EPA employees at
  their College/Unit level. The criteria for
  nominations, selection of recipients and delivery
  of awards are handled by each College/Unit.
• Temporary employees and student employees are not
  eligible.

Are there any program changes?

• We are continuing our partnership with the NC
  State Bookstore for award selections
• TIAA-CREF has agreed to continue program
  sponsorship
• The quality of prizes will improve! Average cost
  will increase to 30- 45 per award
• Online ordering process will be done through a
  purchasing portal managed by the NC State
  Bookstore
• Award selections will be delivered by the
  Bookstore
• Awards will be distributed on a quarterly basis
• Colleges/units will receive awards according to
  total employees in their college/unit- 350 total
  awards
• (1 award per every 23 employees)

What are the Award criteria?

• Each college/unit develops its own award
  criteria. Examples of criteria include
• Leadership on the job
• Customer focus
• Business results
• Quality of service
• Quantity/Quality of work over a period of time
• Relationships fostered at work

2007- 2008 Program Overview

• Annual Program July 1, 2007 June 30, 2008
• Provide Award Certificate to all winners
• All SPA and EPA employees are eligible
• Winner will choose a gift from the NC State
  Bookstore
• NC State Bookstore has agreed to deliver awards
  to campus coordinators on quarterly basis

Steps to follow in 2007-2008

• Each Unit/College
• Step 1 Develop/Maintain College/Unit award
  process
• Step 2 Publicize the program within your
  college/unit
• Step 3 Select and award recipients
• Step 4 Distribute all awards by June 30, 2008
• Step 5 Thank TIAA-CREF for their program
  sponsorship!!!
