• James 119-27
  19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every
  man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to
  wrath
• 20 For the wrath of man worketh not the
  righteousness of God.
• 21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and
  superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with
  meekness the engrafted word, which is able to
  save your souls.
• 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers
  only, deceiving your own selves.
• 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a
  doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural
  face in a glass

• James 119-27 - (Cont) 24 For he
  beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and
  straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
• 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of
  liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a
  forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this
  man shall be blessed in his deed.
• 26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and
  bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own
  heart, this man's religion is vain.
• 27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the
  Father is this, To visit the fatherless and
  widows in their affliction, and to keep himself
  unspotted from the world.

• A. Quick to listen and slow to speak
• B. Slow to become angry
• C. James goes on to say in Vs 20 for mans anger
  does not bring about the righteous life that God
  desires.

• A. James must have been a psychologist.
• B. As a preacher, that one hits home with me.
• C. James doesnt mix words with those he wrote
  to.
• D. Must be Doers!

• A. Christianity is doing.
• B. We claim all we want that we are a Christian,
  but unless we actually ARE one, we dont really
  fool anyone.
• C. Many people downplay religion

Mirror, Mirror on the WallChristianity isnt
always easy.

• 1. We live under a misconception that
  Christianity is easy and we just do it because we
  always feel so good.
• 2. It isnt always easy.
• 3. One lady told me that life was much easier
  when she didnt have a conscience to deal with.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

• a) If I could live my life only the way I wanted
  to, life is much easier.
• b) But we live our lives for God,
• c) We are His.
• d) Because we are his, we will do and act
  differently than the world.
• e) Well watch what we say,
• f) Well be slow to anger.
• g) Well do what God wants.
• h) Well take care of others.
• I) Well watch our own spiritual lives.

• James 125
  But whoso looketh into the
  perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein,
  he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of
  the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
• Look in the Mirror of Gods Word.
• Dont forget what you See Read.
• A doer of the work will be blessed!
