  • Spectral modeling of dwarf nova outbursts (disk
    instability in CVs)
  • He-dominated disks in compact CVs (AM CVn stars,
    Porb5-65 min)
  • C-O-dominated disks around NSs in ultracompact
    LMXBs with stripped WD donors (Porblt80 min)
  • Fe-dominated SN-fallback disks. Application to
    SN1987A yields upper limit for the size of such a
    disk from the absence of a point source in the
    SNR (Rlt70,000 km)
  • Gaseous metal disks around single white dwarfs
    (probably disrupted asteroids)
