High School Grade Point Average
  • CSU UC average the grades for all college prep
    work completed after the 9th grade.
  • (10-12) Academic Weighted GPA from the Leigh
    transcript.
  • UCs minimum GPA requirement is 3.0
  • CSUs minimum GPA requirement is 2.0

Repeating High School Courses
  • Courses used to satisfy the A-G requirements in
    which the student earns D or F grades must be
    repeated with grades of C or higher.
  • The repeated grades are used in calculating the
    GPA.
  • UC CSU campuses will NOT accept BYU online
    courses for Lab Science (Bio., Chem., Physics)
    and Visual Performing Arts.

Community College Transfer Program
  • All community colleges offer Guaranteed Transfer
    Admission Agreements (TAA).
  • These are agreements established with some of the
    CSU, UC and Private Universities.
  • Students are required to earn a minimum number of
    transferable units
  • 60 units (semester)
  • 90 units (quarter)

Additional Testing Details
  • PSAT results will be available in December.
  • Juniors must plan to take the SAT Reasoning Test
    as early as February.
  • Students are required to complete all tests by
    the December sitting of their 12th grade year
    (check specific schools for earlier deadlines).
  • SAT Subject Tests should be taken soon after
    courses are completed i.e. Biology, History,
    Chemistry, etc.

Report SAT Scores
  • Enter school codes to have your scores sent to
    the colleges.
  • Part of the registration fee
  • 4 school codes
  • Scores can be sent to any CSU campus using one
    code 3594 only one fee.
  • If scores are not reported you will have to pay
    separately for each score.
  • CSU takes best combined scores.
  • UC takes the best scores from one sitting.
