• Ask legislature to charge us with outlining a
  plan for a statewide clinical trials network in
  Iowa
• Develop database of current trials
• Determine which payors cover clinical trial costs
• Work with payors to encourage support for
  standard care costs of patients on trials
• Survey oncology practices about their interest in
  a network
• Review other state-wide networks
• Develop outline of plan, time line and estimated
  costs of a statewide network in Iowa
