    were they?
  • What do you remember about learning to read
    before going to school?
  • What do you remember about learning to read in
    school?
  • Write as much as you can, and be ready to share
    your experiences!!!

WHAT MAKES A GREAT STORY?
  • What draws you into a story?
  • Could it be the creative CHARACTERS?
  • Could it be the PLOT?
  • Could it be the CONFLICT?
  • Could it be the RISING ACTION?
  • Could it be the RESOLUTION?

  • Take about eight minutes and
    through the books on your table.
  • Evaluate the books put them in three piles
  • Low-Middle-High
  • Choose one book, as the best. You will be
    presenting that book and telling WHY you liked it
    best.

    paper back. Look over the topics that your
    classmates added.
  • 2. Circle the BEST TEN topics that you think
    little kids would like to read about.

  • First we will get your ideas down using the
    INSPIRATION PROGRAM.
  • Second we will take your story boards and draft
    out the story.
  • Finally we will take your draft to the computer
    lab and create the books using MICROSOFT
    PUBLISHER.
