A farmer went out into the field to sow seed.

Some of the seed fell on the path that ran along
the edge of the field and the birds flew down and
ate it.

Some of the seed fell on rocky ground where there
wasnt enough soil.

The plants grew quickly, but when the sun came up
they were scorched and because they had no roots
they withered and died.

Matthew 137
Some of the seed fell among the thorns. The
thorns grew up and choked the plants.

Matthew 138
The rest of the seed fell on good ground. The
rain watered it and the sun shone down on it.
After a few months there was a great harvest.
