• It is important that you use your commodities
  before the school year ends for several reasons
• It will allow you to reduce your plate cost
• It will allow you to use your commodities while
  they are in their best condition and quality
• It eliminates the need to hold commodities over
  the summer.
• If you can utilize your commodities now, it
  will help you avoid summertime food losses

FORM 11s AND 12s

• Form 11 for 2008-2009 is complete.
• Check your Form 12s to be sure that you have
  arranged to have all commodities delivered in a
  timely manner.
• It is acceptable to store commodities over the
  summer at your distributors warehouse. Any
  commodities that are left at the commercial
  distributor beyond May 31, 2009, without a
  Commodity Hold Form will be transferred to
  another eligible recipient agency during the
  summer.

SHORTAGE FROM THE WAREHOUSE FORM

• Verify with the warehouse before submitting the
  form to the state office.
• Provide a copy to the warehouse and to us.
• Let us know if you receive the commodity after
  youve submitted the form.
• If any commodities are available after the end
  of the year audit, well try to transfer them to
  you.

COMMODITY SUBSTITUTIONS

• A DISTRIBUTOR IS NOT AUTHORIZED TO SUBSTITUTE
  COMMODITIES IF HE IS OUT OF A COMMODITY YOU
  ORDERED.
• YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO ACCEPT SUBSTITUTE
  COMMODITIES.
• LET US KNOW IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU.

• Check the list of cancellation notices on the CNP
  web site, under Food Distribution so you will
  know the commodities that have been cancelled for
  the 2008-2009 SY and mark them off your FDP Form
  11.
