9- In this folder you should have 4 further folders
- Technical Analysis
- Tactical Analysis
- Notational Analysis
- Training Analysis
- Personal Analysis
Technical Analysis Should contain a PowerPoint
presentation which explains the perfect models of
4 core skills from your sport. You should include
visual as well as written explanations. Where
possible try to break down each skill into its
different phases (preparation / execution /
recovery).
Performance Analysis
Tactical Analysis You need to tactically
analyse 8 weeks worth of games that you have
played. Below is an example of 1 match analysis.
To get the highest marks you then need to
explain, and give details of drills you might use
to improve any weaknesses that you have
identified.

10Personal Analysis You should choose one of the
core skills which you identified in your core
skills analysis. You are going to analyse your
performance of this skill in comparison to the
perfect model. A PowerPoint would be ideal,
however you may present this how you choose. Your
personal analysis should compare your technique
using photographs and text to that of the perfect
model. The first slide should explain how the
technique you are looking at is performed
perfectly. You should break the skill down into
its component parts (preparation, execution and
recovery) and compare photographs of you to that
of the perfect model. You should identify your
strengths and then your weaknesses. The final
slide should be a summary of your analysis what
do you do well, what do you need to improve.
Performance Analysis
Training Analysis You should include an 8 week
log of all the training which you do (sport
specific and general). It should include examples
of drills you have undertaken and the skills you
have worked on. Photos of you training are a
great visual aid.

11Notational Analysis Your notational analysis
should focus on the skill that you chose to
analyse for your personal analysis. You are
going to keep statistics on your performances of
these skills. You need to complete a minimum of 4
different notations which should show progress. A
example of a simple notational analysis may
include Shot conversion rate how many shots
do I take and how many actually go in. You need
to design a sheet to record your data and then
give a small evaluation at the end of each
notation. You would complete notation 1 and then
analyse your performance - a short paragraph at
the end to say what you need to do to improve is
enough. The next notation should show how you
have progressed. As will the following 2. The
notational analyses should be a record of your
performance and how you are getting better at a
particular skill. Graphs are always good to
represent results. An example set of notations
follows this page.
