1Other Special Features of SimPOS! Retail Point of
Sale.
- This presentation cover other special features.
- It is automated, so click on the slide show
button, sit back and enjoy. - We are constantly adding most client suggestions
to our system at no charge to the clients!!
2Lets proceed to the invoice screen.
3See the invoice creation presentation to see step
by step how we get to the next screen.
4We have added three products at various
quantities to the invoice screen.
5You may wish to have a tie in sales line pop up
for a particular item on the invoice.
6A tie in sales message will appear when an item
is placed on the invoice and it has a tie sales
message in the data base.
7You may wish to process what is on the invoice
screen in a manner other than going to the F3
screen to collect money. To access this screen
you would have pressed the ESC button.
8You may save what is on the invoice screen as a
suspended sale.
9You wish also to create an estimate for a
customer and save it as well as print it out.
10You may also want to process an order through a
wholesaling operation so you can create order
acknowledgments, partial ship invoices, and
packing slips.
11You may also want to process what is on the
invoice screen as a purchase order which can
through Access print labels and update your
arriving inventory.
12You may also wish to just clear off the present
invoice screen.
13Or you may wish to change your mind and return to
the invoice screen.
14To recall an invoice, print list or sales order,
you need to arrow to the right while the New
Sale button is highlighted.
15After you have highlighted the Saved Sale button,
you press enter.
16You may then choose the action you wish to take.
17Choosing invoice allows you to recall suspended
sales.
18Choosing Print List allows you to recall
estimates you have saved and turn them into
invoices -- no need to reenter the information!
19You may also revise Sales Orders before
processing as well.
20If you were to choose Invoice, then a drop down
box appears listing the current suspended sales
and allows you to choose the one you want.
21You may save a suspended sale using a phone
number or other title. We chose Cory.
22The suspended sale is then recalled and you may
modify it in any way you want. You can even
re-save it.
23Lets return to the invoice or products screen and
enter some information.

26We can of course look up and drag an item to the
invoice screen by typing in a portion of the
common or scientific name.
27We chose to type in abies.
28We highlight the item we wish -- note the
secondary name below.
29We drag it back to the invoice screen.
30We want to see the plant information for our
Abies.
31To view the information, highlight the item.
32And after you press the F11 button, up pops the
information that also was on the plant label.
You may print it out if you wish.
33SimPOS! Comes with several libraries of
information or you can create your own.
34Maybe we wish to see a photo of the plant as
well.
35In this case there is no picture. You can easily
add digital camera shots you take to your system
or get pictures in other ways.
36Lets say you are creating a purchase order and
wish to add the cost or landed cost of the items
you are ordering.
37Pressing the F7 button allows you to enter the
cost. You may also enter this data in Access.
38Entering the price here saves the information in
the purchase order details table.
39We can also add a comment line that will appear
on the invoice and be saved in the database for
future reference.
40You may choose from a drop down list or type in
something on the fly.
41Type the information you wish to appear on the
receipt here.
42I chose to pick from the drop down box. Each
register can have a separate list of comments.
43In this case we chose to mark the Abies with the
comment to the right. The reason to have canned
messages is that it results in fewer typing
mistakes as shown at the right!!!

45Lets say a customer wants to see if this is the
same plant she bought previously. Providing that
invoice was tagged with her customer id, then you
can press F9 and see her history.
46To look up her sales history, use the convenient
lookup box by pressing the ? Key.
47Enter a portion of the name or phone number here.

49We want the last name on the list.
50Highlighting the last name and pressing enter
will call up the sales history on the screen.
51It lists the purchases from the most recent to
oldest. You can not print it out since the
information is semi-confidential.

53Maybe we forgot how to do something.
54Clicking on F4 gets you into the search mode.
55Enter a portion of the topic or key word you wish
to find help on.
56Our customer wanted a listing of people we
recommend for pruning.
57We only brought up one topic choice.
58The above might represent suggested pruning firms
in the area. You may print it out for the
customer by using F10
59SimPOS! Has tried to place directions on every
screen to help make it easy to get around and do
things.

67Other functions also has some useful features.
68This portion of the program handles the non-sales
features of the register.
69You may need to adjust inventory using this
button when you run over it with a tractor, fail
to water it, or give it away as a donation.
70While you could look up a product from this
screen, most lookups occur on the invoice or
products screen.
71While you can issue a gift certificate from this
screen, it is usually done from the F3 payment
screen.
72This is where you would void a gift certificate.
You would need your salesperson id as well as
your password.
73This is where you would void an invoice. You
would need both a salesperson id as well as a
password. All tables are adjusted when you
perform this function.
74This is where you would reprint an invoice. You
would need the number, your id as well as your
password.
75This is where you would enter a payment on an in
store charge account.
76This can be used to collect various notes for
future use. Example We need to order more of
these earlier in the season.
77Here is where you would set the cash in the
drawer each morning.
78At the end of each day here is where you would
print out the reconciliation for the drawer. You
can do this in the office as well if they forget.
79You can use this function for doing paid outs or
adding cash to the drawer. It allows you to
enter a reason for the transaction and puts
it in the database.
80 This allows for the use of a portable data
terminal -- about 2000 each. They are portable
and allow you to create invoices or purchase
orders out in the nursery. The data is then
downloaded at a computer where the cradle is
attached.
