Statement of Purpose

• More and more wireless devices interact with IP
  networks.
• This impacts the current end-to-end nature of
  IETF protocols.
• Location becomes an important parameter in
  providing and accessing services and users.
• This draft strives to provide insights to an
  architecture which can answer the following
  questions
• Implications of obtaining location.
• How a terminal stores or registers its location.
• How to exchange/relay location to other parties.

• Location Agent (Location Proxy Server) - stores
  relates position / location.
• Positioning Function - function that determines
  position / location of device.

Issues

• Does this cover all cases?
• Security concerns (as well as authorization,
  confidentiality) should be addressed.
• Conveying accuracy should be addressed

  itself /- 10 meters )
