- Leibniz-DAAD-Scholarships
- open to highly motivated and qualified graduates,
Ph.D. students and Postdocs aiming to carry out
research at one of the participating Leibniz
Institutes. Candidates should be aware of the
research profile of possible host institutes. - for a period from 12 to 36 months
- possible to gain a doctorate in Germany
- Applications to the relevant diplomatic missions
of the Federal Republic of Germany or to the DAAD

disciplines - Since 1953, AvH has sponsored more than 20,000

- Humboldt Research Fellowships for Postdocs
resident outside Germany - to carry out research projects of their own
choice in Germany - for research stays of at least 6 and at most 12
months (extension of up to 24 months possible) - for researchers of all nationalities and
disciplines - application at any time
- no quotas for individual countries and
disciplines - up to 600 fellowships per year

Germany, and agree details of research projects
and schedules prior to submission of applications

and Social Sciences - Funding between 2,100 and 3,000 per month
- Additional costs that may be covered include
Contribution to health insurance, travel
expenses, German language course, allowances for
spouses and children, conferences and travel
allowances
