The Band

• They get different fans like the jocks, skaters,
  collage kids, punk rockers, hardcore kids, metal
  kids.

• - There are four different people in the band.
  There names are
• Davey Havok- Vocals,
• Jade Puget- Guitar,
• Hunter Burgan - Bass,
• Adam Carson- Drums

The Beginning

• Afi (A Fire Inside) formed in 1991 when their
  members Davey Havok vocalist, Markus Stopholese
  guitarist, Vick bassist, Adam Carson- drummer
  was attending high school in Ukiah, California,
  later when the band first formed Vick was
  replaced by Jeff Kresge but the band still went
  on. The band played in local gigs and released
  there first CD Loose Change and later released
  Behind the Times. The band members then split
  up to go to different colleges, with Jeff Kresge
  temporarily moving to New Jersey. However, the
  band reconvened during a holiday break from
  school to play a one off reunion show, and
  audience response was so positive that the band
  members decided to quit school and concentrate on
  music full- time.

The next step

• The band started a recording deal with the Nitro
  label, which issued the bands second album Very
  Proud Of Ya, in 1996. Later in 1997 the third
  album can out it was called Shut Your Mouth
  Open Your Eyes. Later that year Jeff Kresge left
  the band and was replaced by Hunter Burgan the
  bass player that is in the band to day, Markus
  Stopholese also quit the band and he was replaced
  by Jade Puget, the guitarist in the band today.
  There third CD A Fire Inside was released in
  1998 and issued a reasonable full-length CD in
  1999, Black Sails In The Sunset. Also in 1999
  they released there fourth CD All Hallows And
  there fifth CD The Art Of Drowning followed a
  year later.

The New Millennium

• Once the new millennium came AFI hooked up with
  Jerry Finn and Garloage Butch Vig (worked with
  Green day Blink-182) for the next album Sing
  The Sorrow This CD was the best CD they had out
  of all of there other CDs. Their major-label
  debut for DreamWorks that showcased the bands
  significant growth from their early hardcore
  days. The record marked AFIs crossover into the
  mainstream as their fan base considerably grew,
  national news publications praised them, and they
  were good enough to get on MTV.

• They started working again on there 8th album
  Decemberunderground with Jerry Finn again. Once
  the album came out it was a instant success,
  debuting at number one on the billboard charts
