Planning

• Take 20 seconds to simply flip through the test
• Decide if there is an order you would prefer
  rather than the one they gave you
• Do the ones you are comfortable with FIRST
  (usually the more modern pieces).
• Put an X on the passage that you will go back
  to and make sure to watch your bubbling

• Although there are USUALLY only four passages,
  College Board might put in one more or one less.
• The same number of questions will still be there
  though (between 50-56).
• Watch your timing so it matches the number of
  passages

WRITE ON THE TEST!

• The more you mark the test, the more it becomes
  YOURS and not College Boards.
• Read with your pencil (Ill explain)
• Summarize each paragraph with one word if its a
  tough one

• Some like to read the questions first to get an
  idea what will be asked.
• This is a good idea for those of you who need to
  know what every word means or ir drives you
  crazy.
• Although this can work, some say it wastes time

• The literary terms second
• The general last

The Dreaded Narrowed it Down to Two

• Most of you can narrow down the choices, the
  tough part is which one to go with.
• Many, but not all, times the right answer is the
  more specific.
• Dont get too hung up on it. You have other
  questions to get to.
• Put an X next to it and go back if you have
  time.
