with the Maryland Diabetes Educators Association

- 1300 tickets sold that day
- 500 pedometers and 10,000 Steps pamphlets were
handed out within 2 hours - 400 heart-healthy and sugar-friendly portions
were eaten. - 66 Roche/Accu-Chek backpacks were handed out to
diagnosed diabetics. - 300 children completed activities and received a
t-shirt. - Approximately 60 children watched/played the
ADA/Pancreas Game and learned about diabetes. - 120 Portion distortion quizzes and 65 stuffed
animals were passed out

Special screening of, Adventures for the Cure
the Doc with QA session with filmmakers and
cyclists Riding across America was proof that
Adam Driscoll, a Type 1 diabetic, can do anything
he puts his mind to. Operation Diabetes will
hold a special fundraiser screening for
Adventures for the Cure, which is dedicated to
raising awareness for DM.
