Structure (Cont)
  • Each Committee
  • is supposed to meet by conference call 1 time per
    quarter.
  • Elect a 7 person subcommittee to work on service
    information requests when necessary. These
    committees are made up of 3 aftermarket
    representatives, 3 OEM representative and one
    non-affiliated tie breaker.
  • The VSC has placed added responsibilities on
    their subcommittee.

New Information Request Website

Where do we go from here?
  • The NASTF Board will continue to discuss
  • We will be asking for help and guidance from the
    OEMs, SAE, ISO, ETI and Tier One Suppliers.
  • We will try to organize as many discussion group
    exercises as we can
  • NASTF Committee meetings
  • ETI Tech Weeks
  • Other forums as well
  • could culminate in some kind of guidance for OEMs
    to follow. Perhaps an SAE recommended practice

Equipment and Tool Committee
  • Information Gap identification
  • Almost all requests for tool and equipment
    information are still flowing through ETI.
  • We want to move this effort to NASTF, but two
    things need to happen
  • The new NASTF On-line Information Request system
    needs to be online.
  • There are large chunks of data missing from
    several OEMs. We need to take one more pass
    through ETI so that we dont overwhelm the system.

Information Gaps
  • The spreadsheets will be sent to all members on
    June 1, 2009
  • tool and equipment companies will have one month
    to fill in the spreadsheet.
  • results sent to everyone on the committee and
    OEMs.
  • OEM response to spreadsheet based requests will
    due August 1, 2009
  • After August 1, 2009 we will begin using the New
    Information Request on NASTFs website.

Conference call
  • This committee will meet via conference call on
    May 19, 2009
  • We will finalize the spreadsheet design and the
    process dates
  • Recruit a new subcommittee member to take John
    Elias place.
  • Recruit a new Chairman for this committee.
  • Set conference call schedule for the rest of the
    year.
