- Elective Requirements
- Freshmen must take x number of the nine areas,
and no more than two of their Freshman courses
may fall in the same area
- Sophomores must take x number of courses in the
nine areas
- Juniors must take a GBS, IDS, and/or a Cultural
Immersion Course (Language/Study Abroad)
- Maturity Requirements
- Distribution of core requirements over four
years
- Students must take x number of hours at the 300
and 200 levels outside of their majors and
outside of other major requirements
- Seniors may not take 100 level courses
- Affinity Requirements
- Students must take x number of hours in a related
(defined) area at the 200 level or above that do
not meet major requirements
- For example, a Commerce major would have to take
x number of hours in Business, Accounting, and/or
Economics
- IDS courses must meet affinity but not major
requirements
